Default Steam pipe/flow question

So the_merv had replaced the metal line and banjo bolts with brass fittings and fuel line. The only problem was that on the passenger head the fitting was right over the farthest back intake bolt. I could turn this fitting 90 degrees to prevent this when I re-install, but then I wonder, will the coolant still flow that goes through there?

I am of course now an idiot, the fitting could have been removed. Looking around lost at Lowe's an employee was like hmm see it is just a T with a barb fitting in it. Ah well $2 more in the project due to my being blind. I can keep it the way it was.
