My 94 z has 70k, it has had the transfer serviced before but I don't remember what fluid was used. What weight and what kind should I buy and how many quarts to do a flush.
And is this an auto or manual? When you do a filter change on the 4L60E, expect around 5 quarts (the whole transmission holds closer to 9-10 quarts though). T56s use about 4 quarts.
DONT TRY TO TAKE OFF THE FILTER SEAL ON THE TRANMISSION, TAKE ME 2 DAY TO TAKE OFF AND PUT ON NEW ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. just drop pan put new filter and throw that fiter seal away !! put in advance auto part dex/mercon. work great for over 2 year now.
