Default Under Drive Pulleys?

Will an under driven pulley setup reduce alternator output at idle and lower rpm?

On a car with a stock cam and low idle probably, on a cammed car with raised idle probably not.

That said they are pretty much a waste of time on an LT1 since the belt is not turning the waterpump. On car where the belt does turn the waterpump they stand a much better chance of being worthwhile.

I have ran the ASP 945103 setup for the last 7 years and would highly recommend it for any LT1. I've never had an issue even though my battery is 10 years old. The 2-3 lbs off the snout weight savings was well worth it to me. I would not recommend any other setup.

That would be an underdrive balancer rather than an addon pulley. An addon pulley will just add weight.
