Default Possibly a bad opti spark or igniton?

Okay this only happens once in a while, sometimes when im in reverse and trying to turn my car would just die, but I would turn the car back on fine but like I said this only happens when im in reverse.

Any suggestions?

The IAC is probably on its way out. And/or you have a vacuum leak. I doubt it has anything to do with the opti or ignition.

hopefully its just the IAC.
Stupid question but how do you check for vacuum leak?

My car is doing the same thing now but i've tested everything and determined its the fuel regulator. Check for codes first....it could be anything...it's not always the opti.

I just visual check all the vacuum hoses. If something looks questionable I spray a little brake clean on the questionable area while the engine is running. If the idle goes up or down, you found your leak.

Good point riceburner, check you fuel pressure as well.
