Default which oil pump?

iv got an m55hv and im having windage issuse cause iv got no windage tray. im buying a moroso oil pan and i believe the hv is more than i need. i heard something about the m55 being prone to cracking. i was gonna go with a melling select but i dont need the driveshaft (got an arp) and dont wanna pay for it again. any suggestions?

If using that pump defiantly get a different pan, From what I understand the HV pump will drain the stock pan dry

It can, really you only need HV pump when you have a cooler and/or an accumulator in as well so you can refill them quickly. Stock is usually more than sufficient for most applications. Also, The above is correct, an HV will drain a pan if run hard for more than short bursts.

The Melling 155 will work great

Hell with the 155s, go with the Melling 10554. Standard volume, high pressure, and is FAR more robust than the 155. Even Melling says this. It is worth the extra ~$20, and includes a hardened driveshaft as well.

You are correct, I did get them confused AGAIN , The 10554 is the one I have myself
