Default SA rockers with Chromemoly Pushrods

I was wondering if it is good to run Chromemoly Pushrods with SA rocker arms; I know I can't run guide plates but what about Chromemoly Pushrods. I am thinking about running these with my comp promag 1.6 SA rockers http://www.trickflow.com/egnsearch.a...115+4294779030

yes, good to replace weak stockers.just make sure you get the right size..also keep in mind you are in the danger zone on your stock valve springs.. they are weak from milage and not designed for the 1.6 RR's but will work...channge them at the same time as RR's ..heres a good replacement...

full list has pushrods too ... http://www.alexsparts.com/categories...2C-GEN-II-SBC/
.. then SPARY IT!

If you value your engine you won't run 1.6 rockers on stock springs. Many (ignorant) people have done it, some with success, many with failure. IMO, it's certainly not worth the risk.

That's why I have le1 heads with sprigs that are more than good enough for my hotcam and 1.6 SA rockers. I already have the SA rockers so I am just going to reuse them and install the stronger pushrods. I just need to measure the length because my stock ones were too long; should be 7.1 or 7.15. I already made a solid lifter I just need to pick up my comp measuring tool on Tuesday.

I have no idea why people go through the trouble to make a solid lifter. Test springs are 10 bucks. Have you ever tried to compress a hydraulic lifter by hand when it's pumped up?
