Default I screewed up! Will this work?

Ok so I messed up and threw away a perfectly good part on accident. I threw away the lifter Guide retainer. I had it sitting in my dirty rag pan bellow the engine because it needed to be cleaned and forgot about it and piled more dirty rags on top and it went out with the trash last week. I have one from My stock 97 LT1 with 100k on it that was in the car. My question is can I use the 100k mile one if I clean it up? do these wear out? Here is a pic of what I threw away. As you can see summit has them and they are not to bad Price wise I just don't know if its the same one that came with the LS7 lifter kit. It says in their application notes that it is for Gen 1. Will this work if I can't use the one from my old engine?

No they don't wear out. All they do is hold down the lifter guides. There's no stress on them. Use the 100k mile one without worry.

Cool, I cleaned it up and installed it seem just fine. I'm gonna roll with it. Finally got a good set of head gaskets and I'm finally put this thing back together tonight and maybe have the car back together and running by sunday sometime. Still need to service the trans while it's out.
