Default Thinking about getting some long tubes for my 97 formula

Currently I am rocking an edelbrock shorties into modified stock-ypipe setup -- hate it. I don't drive my car in rain and was considering getting the pacesetter painted long tubes and off-road y pipe but want to know if I would hate life afterwards as I currently have the fumes flowing through a loudmouth with a borla X-R1 muffling... my neighbors already complain so I am wondering what recommendations you guys have.

Thanks!

Do the longtubes and put an extra bullet muffler in each tailpipe.

I asked for recommendations not a stupid, overplayed comment. As for being a NEWB wrong again. I can pretty much promise you, my car long tubes or not would give you a run for your money. Line em up chief.

It's a dyno proven fact that a good shorty set-up will produce the same hp, sometimes even more than longtubes.
