Finding TDC
I've read a bunch of threads about using a screwdriver through the #1 spark plug hole to find when the piston is at the highest point, but I'm looking for an alternative.
I have my front cover off so maybe there is something in there that will show me when it's lined up? I'm trying to install my hub and dampener and just want to make sure that it's in there the right way.
Thanks
I know there are people that put it on any way, but I would like to take the extra time just in case. I would think theres an arrow on it for a reason.

Thanks shbox
Is there any easy way to turn the engine over with the hub removed? Any chance I could line up these marks on the back of the hub and the "keyed" slot on the crank? I would think this is how it came off.

You can bump the starter or pry on the flywheel. Make a mark with a Sharpie along the snout of the crank and on the outside of the hub (inline with those keyway marks you have). Line them up end to end and slide it on.
