Default whining noise

As stated its a whine from my tranny or rear I can't really tell. Its only when I'm cruising, but when I'm in lets say 4th and I let off without hitting the clutch just slowing down, it makes the whine. It has fluid. My old t/a did the same thing, I dogged the hell out of it and nothing ever broke. I'm just wondering if its something to worry about? Anyone have this situation?

Sounds like the backlash in the rear is off.

Is there a girl in the backseat? They whine a lot.

Make sure the trans is not low, some people use the GM limited slip additive in the rear to keep the sound down.
