Default Upgrades to do while replacing a head gasket?
97 Z28 with 11X,XXX miles, getting the head gasket replaced, heads machined the works with the gasket. What should i look into upgrading for the future. It might not be worth it since it'll be some time before I get a small cam and head upgrade but internal wise was just wondering, something isn't going to give out in 2000 miles is it.

With the heads off the car you could easily install some long tube headers with little to no issue. Roller rockers also wouldn't be a bad idea.

It is stock for the moment. That will be changing soon with a full exhaust, cai, tune & possibly gears at minimum.
