Default Need all the help I can get

Any ideas on what's going on here in this video? It used to do it after 4-5 miles but now its doing it right at start-up. No CEL. Thanks for any ideas you've got.

That's a riot!

On a more serious matter, a knowledgable customer of mine said it sounded like retarded timing. I did a tune up after getting the car last summer, I was curious if there is a wrong way to put the Optispark back in? It sat flat with the block and felt like it went it smoothly.

For good humor, generic 0497 code = evaporative emission system - low purge flow

See. There ya go. Its getting bad evaporations because its flow is purged. Thus causing trouble code 0497. That's why your car sounds like a sick small block pretending to be a healthy big block. Lol. Just kidding. Probably just a grounded plug wire in all honesty. Any of them touching exhast pipe?

Agreeing with everybody else here, spark plug wires burned and/or cross firing. If you swap wires 4 & 6 it will run exactly like that-ask me how I know.

If that's not it:

The LT1 PCM may have codes in it without illuminating the CES light. Have it scanned with a tech tool.

Alright, I'll just do a tune-up then. Thorough one at that. I used some protectant wire wrap with the plugs that are close to headers so that shouldnt be a problem but there is only one way to find out....

shielding/sleeves help but dont always work... also what wires do you have on the car? this is one area where spending money on the good **** can really save some headaches, be it cross-fire, or on-fire
