Default GM Lifters Question

Summit has what folks call the LS7 lifters (P/N# 12499225) for about $145 shipped.

I called my local Internal Engine Parts and gave them the part number and they said they couldn't look it up by GM part number. But he said he has stock replacement lifters for LS1 & LS7 which are the same. It would be about $130+tax for 16.

My question is, would I be getting the same parts from the local store as what Summit sells? Should I be cautious of the Internal Engine Parts lifters? Summit also calls them "GM Performance", which the local store said they don't sell GM performance parts, but they have the stock replacements.

Thanks for the link. I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest place, but wondering if there is a difference between a GM lifter (stock replacement) and a GM Performance lifter (LS7). I don't mind paying $25 more from summit when I know it will ship out today and be at my door within a week, but if it's all the same, then I can go pick them up today from my local store. I don't know when I would receive them from crateenginedepot.com.

As far as I know the LS7 lifter is the GM superseded replacement part for the LT1 lifter. GM sells them on line,

If you're getting the genuine GM part you're good to go.
