7 month ago, when I crank my car, it make a grind noise, my friend say " HEY U NEED CHANGE THAT STARTER OUT " my car make grind noise every time I crank it, I though it those pulley or something.
Tomorrow imma take that red top off and exchange for the starter one from advance auto part. 149 dollar.

Disconnect the battery and connect the terminals on the battery & the terminals on the cables.
Reattach the battery cables and make sure they're TIGHT and making a GOOD connection.
Try starting the car. If it doesn't start, try it with a different battery, or by getting a jump start from another car.
If still nothing, I would tow it home, rather than doing the repairs in the gas station parking spot. Get an OHM meter and check down the wires to see if there is power throughout.
Check all of this stuff before you spend any money playing the guessing game.

It's not very smart to get to the car with only the one or two tools you'll need. I suggest you take a good set of tools, drop light, moving blanket or cardboard to lay on, a good jack....
I would also suggest you not try this alone.

By roll starting bud I mean have the key on the on position, the car rolling about 20-25mph and poping the clutch in 1st or 2nd. If it starts then its probably your starter, if not then you have other problems.
