Cool Temp gauge/cluster issue

Whenever I cut my car off and let it sit, the needle for the temp guage gets hung up on the ridge in the cluster, so when I start my car back up, it gets stuck. I've found I can fix this by tapping on the dash, but I'd rather not do this every time I get in the car. Here's a picture of what its getting hung on:

By the way this is on a 1997 Camaro SS with the digital odometer and what not. What causes this and is there a solution?

Thanks

You'll have to remove the cluster from the dash, then take a closer look.

One of the cluster bolts might be loose.

LOL I was about to say the same thing! It still has the plastic on the steering wheel too. 10 miles and a car that is 14 years old is the reason the gauge is sticking.

Kudos to the owner! I don't have the discipline to let a car accumulate so few miles.

Haha I snagged the picture off google images. I wish my car had 10 miles. I guess I'll have to take the cluster out and look closer when I get a new dash. Thanks.
