Why would these wires to the PCM be tapped?

Why would these wires to the PCM be tapped? B30 - PCM ignition feed
C16 - Pressure control solenoid high
D2- PCS low
D11- TCC solenoid control
Was taking out the PCM and found that these wires were tapped/repaired at one point. I imagine it was something like the old B&M shift improvement module or whatever it was. Curiosity getting at me is all. BTW the car used to be auto.
