What guage wire for main alt charging wire?

What guage wire for main alt charging wire? Hey guys I'm installing my new engine this week and I have the "My Machinehead" accesory bracket kit which relocates the alt to drivers side low and I need to make a new charge wire and I want to know what guage wire to use 4ga or 2ga?
