Default 96 t/a autometer guage install, lighting wire tap

does anyone know what wire to tap for the lighting, i want a gauge light to turn on when i turn my headlights on

you're gonna need a test light. if theres current with the key out, dont use that one.

Yeah just use a test light on the wires that connect to the headlight switch. I cant remember which color it was but that's how I hooked mine up

Oh yeah I was thinking about pillar pod gauges. For the ac vent you could use the ash tray light or the illumination wire on the radio.

I forget what wire (i can check if you want) i tapped but i made it so i can adjust all of my gauge lights with the dial thing and they turn on with the headlights.
so basically they act like the stock gauge lighting.
