Default Lt1 Goin in My C1500

I have a 95 C1500, just bought a 94 Lt1 out of a vette, I'm bout to raplce all gaskets, opti, wires, plugs, alternator etc...

Already got shorties, and 3" from the headers out the side in front of the rear tire... Had planned on a cam swap but finds are shorter than expected... I am going to installing 1.6rr, an eBay cai, and a yank PY3400... Truck already has an eaton posi unit and 3.73 gears... Trans has a shift kit in it, so ill just get a cooler for it with the stall. I also planning having it tuned by madZ28, he didn't my last mail order and it was fine.

In a few months I'll either go with a cam swap or nitrous but for right now I think I'll be happy going from a 230hp TBI to a 300whp LT1!!!

Question: what do you think it will run at the track if I can get I to hook up?? Let's say a 2.0 sixty foot I think thats reasonable on some warm Et streets, don't you? Truck weighs 4400lbs

First off, I'm surprised at that choice of TC, unless you just happen to have it already. considering the rpm and hp output that a stock bottom LT1 is capable of, I think Yank's SS3600 would be a better choice both for stock and for your future upgrade, and it would drive a heck of a lot better.
At any rate, with either of those TC's, you should be in the 1.9x's 60' and in the 14's with your truck. My ECSB weighs 400 lbs more, running an L31 with a ZZ4 cam (similar power to a stock LT1), 3.73's, SS3600 TC, slicks, and it 60's at 1.90 and ET's 14.3's. With a 50 shot, it goes 1.76 and 13.4's.

Good point; I should have mentioned that. I didn't have a problem with the Vig 3000 in the truck, but with the Yank SS3600 it wrapped the springs up at the launch and was ugly! Cheap Summit slapper bars, mounted so they clamp the fronts of the leaves, solved it. If you clamp the leaves like I did, just make sure your pinion angle still matches the trans angle fairly closely or you'll get some nasty driveline vibration at the least, and probably damaged parts.

no worries, stuart; I didn't take it that way.
I'm glad you brought up that point. Something the OP needs to consider.
