Why doesn't my A/C or cooling fans work
Hello, ive got a 96 z28 auto. My coolant fans do not come on, not even with a/c or ses light on. Also my a/c doesnt come on. Im sure the problems with the fans are from the coolant temp sensor because I unplugged it and the came on. All my relays are good but when I jump the 30-87 leads on the fuse box I can get my fans and a/c to turn on. My question is after I replace the temp sensor to get my fans working what do I do to make the a/c compressor kick on. Alot of you have had a bad temp sensor but you turn on the a/c to get the fans going but my a/c doesnt kick on at all unless I jump the relay

does your ac have and refrigerant in it? too little or too much pressure can cause it not to engage... also see if the I think two or three pigtails/sensors associated with the hvac are plugged in and working. (should be temp, pressure, and compressor)
for your fan problems, if you want them to turn on manually www.shbox.com has a writeup of how to wire in a switch to turn them on as needed.

I had the same cooling fans issue, a month ago.
I went to "speed inc" in google. Went to their website, and bought their "HI-LO fan switch" What it does is lets your fans run normally, or manually turn on Low, or High fans without sending an error code.
