24x diy: Dowel Pin Question
Hi,
I just noticed the dowel pin on my 96 lt1 is too thick to fit through the cam reluctor hole provided by EFI.
I then went to their facebook page and noticed they mentioned in a pic to cut the dowel pin flush with the cam reluctor.
Since my dowel pin is too thick (that's what she said), is it ok to bore out the hole on the reluctor or should I sand down the dowel pin?? I just don't want to make an irreversible mess of either side.

Remember the 24x conversion is designed for a stock LT1 engine (we used a 1994 LT1 engine). We have found that aftermarket camshafts (some? all??) have a slightly larger dowel pin and that for those installations the cam reluctor dowel pin hole will need to be drilled to fit the dowel pin in the cam.
