Car hard to stop...pads maybe??
Almost ran into the back of someone today because I couldn't stop completely. I had to press hard and the brake went almost all the way to the floor. Wondering if I should replace the pads or is something like that I different problem?

Spongy brakes could be the result of air in the brake lines. Of course, check the pads and if they're still good, bleed the brakes. Get yourself a GM Motive brake bleeder. Best thing ever.

Other than this incident, have you had other problems with your brakes?
Either way, id definately change your brake fluid and bleed them thoroughly. Ceak your brake pad wear aswell.

The pad would be about the last thing I would be looking at from what you said. I mean if the pads were that far gone as to hinder proper braking you would hear metal on metal.
I would be bleeding the brakes, making sure one isn't stuck and overheated and that is why it wont grab.
Are the rubber lines original? If so they can be a source of expansion in the system fresh lines could help.
As said inspect the vacuum lines and booster.
I mean once you are taking things apart by all means put new pads in and inspect the rotors but just a quick pad swap is unlikely to help IMO.
