Exhaust recomendations
A friend of mine has a mild bolt on LT1 M6 car. We just added a set of pacesetter longtubes and hes ready for an exhaust system. He wants something he can grow into so he doesn't have to do it twice. Hes been thinking true 3" duals or a single 4" both dumped. A friend of ours has an exhaust shop and he said he would do him a 2.5" dual set up for 150 bucks with mufflers (glasspacks) but hes afraid if he goes 383 or 396 later on it'll be a choke point. At what point would the 2.5" exhaust be a restriction? Unless something happens it'll be no more than a heads/cam car for a long time though. Which set up do you guys think?

I personally doubt that a true dual 2.5" would be a choke point until over 500hp, there was a post on Camaro Z28 about this subject....
"A 2.5” dual system is good for a 513hp engine with zero loss"
"A 3” dual system is good for a 812hp engine with zero loss"
"A 3” Single system is good for a 370hp engine with zero loss"
"A 3.5” Single system is good for a 503hp engine with zero loss"
"A 4” Single system is good for a 657hp engine with zero loss"
