Default where to get this part?

I'm looking to order gm part # 12554126. It's a automatic transmission control lever that has the bigger ball(10mm i think). I replaced the shift cable in my car but the transmission side socket is to big for the stock piece on the car now. So all the sites online say to use that part number but I've tried ordering it from 2 sites now and both just cancel the order saying the part is discontinued and they don't have it. Any help here guys?

Try gmpartsdirect.com. Unfortunately you posted too late. I already left work, otherwise I could've told you if it's still in the GM inventory and if any dealers near you had it in stock.

Also, on impalassforum.com there's a guy on there, Hamilton Chevrolet is his s/n (mike), that finds many discontinued and hard to find parts. He may be able to help you.

Go to any GM parts counter with the number and ask them to do a search. They'll give you a print out of any dealer parts department in the country that might have one and you can call them to get it.

Good luck!
