Default LS1 Manual into 94 automatic V6 3.4 Camaro Convertible

I am putting a LS1 V8 from a 97+ Camaro into my 94 Camaro and I have quite a few questions since I've never done something like this before. (Professional auto mechanics will be doing all the work.) I just need to know what parts I need and how to pull the parts out, transport, etc...because I am getting them from a junkyard, craigslist, ebay to save $.

Please help me answer these questions;

-What are all the neccesary parts I will need? (pictures would be helpful.)
-How do I pull these parts out and what tools will I need? (Diagrams, images, videos would be helpful.)
-How should I transport motor and other large parts in truck bed?
-What kind of reinforcement kit and upgrades will need to be made to handle the LS1's power?

I'm open to suggestions regarding performance only. Cost isn't a big deal to me since I like the convertible and it will be nearly impossible to find a LS1 Camaro or alike with low mileage for a lower cost than what I will pay for in this manner. (I have done quite a bit of research on the web and talked to experts in person.)

I do plan on maxamizing performance in this vehicle with many modifications.

Anything else I'm forgetting; let me know. Thank you!

Not trying to be a dick, but if you have done a lot of research then you would have the answers to almost all of your questions. Also 97 did not have an LS1.

Also if you think you're going to save a bunch of money over just buying a nice LS1 car, I think you're mistaken. Unless you get a great deal on a wrecked LS1 car. You really need an entire doner car to do what you want.

He did offer helpful info. 1997 F-bodies didn't have the LS1, only the corvette. And he is right, you would be money ahead finding a cheap LS1 car instead of finding all the parts to make one out of a V6 car.

You would need
K-member, wiring harness, cooling system, engine, trans, gauges, exhaust, etc etc.

Thats a lot of work to make a stock LS1 car.... Not to mention you are paying a shop to do it which will far surpass you just buying and LS1 camaro.
Not being a dick, just being realistic, it makes no sense to spend that kind of money just to have a stock LS1 car.

Here's a good example of a Convertible/SS/6-speed camaro for a decent price. http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/4328238923.html

And another, it says 97 but it's gotta be 98+ unless they changed the front clip.

As mentioned, paying a shop to do it is going to cost likely thousands in labor alone....not to mention parts. Only way it would make sense is if you just love working on cars and plan to do it all yourself as a project over many months. Do yourself a favor and sell it, buy a LS1 car...done!

They are not as expensive as you make them out to be...here's a local 98 Z28 convertible for $5500 (and it's 6spd, much more rare/desirable), you would spend more than that on labor and parts for sure.

The 4000$ Convertible sounds like a hell of a deal. but how often do you get a deal like that? Isn't that rare to find one for that cheap? I was researching and found ones with well over 100,000 miles and they were asking nearly 10 grand.

Its a LT1 with 98+ front end. 30th anniversary is a 97 so the ad is correct, just not descriptive enough.
