That's some big MPH, very cool to see a LT1 laying down those numbers! A couple years ago I saw a turbo C6 at the track, all you heard was the turbo spool and at mid track he blew the tires off....crazy.

How far are you going to push it? Just tune in the setup for some high 9s or go full RACECAR and try for 8s?

There is a very bold line between mid 9s and 8s.

I do not think the current heads, or trans build would tolerate a really hard tune. As is I am worried about the hard parts in the trans and lifting the heads.

Hindsight is a bitch.

Obviously there is a very bold line between mid 9s and high8s, but with a few hundred lbs taken off, a really well setup suspension, some drag wheels and tires, a little more boost, a 1.3ish 60' you might be able to swing for the fences before lifting the heads. Yes you could break something but I was just curious if that's what your end goal was or to just tune it in now and keep it street car. And why not hitch up the LLY and tow it down to md for a track day?

We shall see, at the moment it needs to get heavier before lighter. Gonna need a roll bar at some point and harnesses. I would be very curious to see how far people pushed stock heads but I would think its not that far. I have 28" ET Drags but that means cutting my fenders which I have procrastinated doing.

Its neverending

MD is just a hike for me, even towing it there, Cecil is a easier trip cause I can stay over at my folks place in DE.

It might go faster then you think with those heads. Boost is a wonderful thing.

With 11psi my anti-"LT1 guru" 383 went 137.68mph with stock, unported, stock valved heads. Casting flash was cleaned up on the intake port but no shaping or porting of the ports or chamber. That is it. This was through an M6 at 3860lbs.

Doing Drugs and pushing your car down the track is both silly and not going to get a faster ET. lol
