#2

I use both also. Honestly, I find LT1Edit a little easier to use because I'm more used to its user interface (parameters are grouped together in somewhat logical associations, rather than a huge drop-down list). But Tunercat's latest version has made some serious improvements, and features like not having to exit the tuner to program the PCM is a real hit in my book.
They both offer similar functionality. Either one does the job well.

I downloaded Tunercat the first time in 1999. I downloaded last time over the weekend. I've run almost every version in between. I work on more than just LT1's - and Tunercat's the best editor (IMO) for that. LT1Edit won't support Tuned Port cars, Throttle Body Injected cars, 92-93 LT1's, etc. - but I burn chips for them with Tunercat. I'll be firing it up hopefully this week to start tweaking on my TBI-equipped 79Z (just idling in my shop, it runs so rich it made my eyes tear up and I had to stop the motor).
I'm running whatever the current release on his web site is. 2.0 or something like that.
