a hose exploded on it and now its doing this. Only code the car is throwing is p0118. I ordered a new engine coolant temp sensor but I dont think this is the problem since it was throwing this code before it started acting like this.

Not sure where to start checking things. The car runs fine within the first few minutes of it starting cold and then after that it starts to die when given gas and acted like this at idle.

yeah this sounds like a vacuum problem. id check to make sure that radiator fluid didn't get into any of your vacuum lines. id start there.

Unplug the front O2 sensors, run it for 10 or more minutes and see what happens.

Turns out it was the engine coolant temp sensor. Ghetto rigged it just to check and car runs great. Ordered the sensor and wire on amazon

Hopefully you get the right one. The sensor in the cylinder head is just for the temp gauge and has no affiliation with the PCM whereas the sensor in the w/p supplies temp info to the PCM. Both have different part numbers. You'll know if it's the wrong one once you start it up and the coolant fans and SES light immediately trigger.
