In a moment of bravery I took it to work this morning. First time out of the yard in years, first time out of the neighborhood in like 5.
Behaved way better then I though! Damn thing is a riot to drive, I miss being able to blip the gas to flash the stall and get that little lunge forward . The fuel cleaner is working, it is idling better every time I drive it.
Still has interior in pieces, no headliner, loud as ****, suspension fittings need to be re-greased, need wipers, and I STILL HAVEN'T WASHED IT LOL .

Spoke too soon, ran like **** on the way home. Either opti got corroded from sitting so long in humid *** FL, or the ICM went bad. Was noticeably down on power and stalled on me at a red light idling.
Now I have to see if I want to keep messing with it and thrown an ICM and opti on it, or just continue working on the new motor. Wouldn't be reusing the opti with the 24x setup so would hate to buy a new one that I don't plan on keeping.

Not a big update, but turndowns will be in Tuesday or Wednesday so I can see if they help with the drone.
Still not sure on the opti...dont know whether I should risk just replacing the cap+rotor, or putting a whole known working unit in it. Not buying new since I have a complete 24x kit for the new motor and don't want to spend that kind of money on something that I'm not keeping.
Ran so good on the way to work I was hyped all day, then broke my heart when it ran like **** on the way back :'(.

Held off on ordering a cheap chinese knockoff sensored opti and it paid off. Caught an OEM opti from a running '94 by a speed shop and got it for $50 shipped. Being a speed shop, it either came off to be replaced while it was off already for a cam swap or was someone going 24x or something, but they say it was pulled working fine.
Either way, no OEM units were on the forums and I feel much safer buying a supposed working unit that came from an actual speed shop then a random person on craigslist or something.
Oh, also ordered a nitrous kit a few days ago for my bike which should be in tomorrow LOL. Installing that on Sunday.
Told ya guys I have attention issues .

Finally got around to changing the opti, car was hitting a wall at 4k and stalled out on me randomly twice in one trip.
While it was indeed dirty and corroded from sitting for who knows how long without a vacuum line connected(no clue where it went), the real problem was that the rotor was only held on with one half backed out screw while the other one flopped around inside the case. The whole rotor was wobbling and chewing up the inside of the cap...I thought I had the newer MSD cap/rotor that was loctited but I guess I had an older one. My fault for not taking it apart to check when I got it.
Also got the turn downs installed, they helped cut down interior drone a bit and gave it an even deeper sound.
