Default Are different year LT1 rods interchangable?

I have two dead engines, one is from the 92 corvette, the other from a 95 Impala SS. Swapping out the bearings and crank on the Impala block, but one of the impala rods is a little out of round, the cap will barely come off.

I have a good rod from the corvette motor that I can swap in. The cap looks different and I read that the newer one is PM, but the older one isn't.

The question here is are they the same weight and will it work? Last thing I want is get this SOB back together and find that it's out of balance. I can get the proper rod off from rock auto, but I will use the corvette rod if it doesn't make a difference.

Usually the early 92-94ish rods were the "pink" rods and then I believe they went to PM rods. Really, even if they are all the same, they should be all balanced together just to be sure.

It's going back stock, so I really just want it reliable, not geared at high RPM. I would think that the balance would be OK with a stock rod since they all used the same balancer.

I am just completely done with this car and don't want to spend any more money than necessary, but I'm not looking to screw over the next owner either. If it has to be changed, I am cool, but spending the money to get it balanced just isn't happening.

I cleaned them up and put em both on a postal scale, they weigh the same. Guessing they will work OK.

Yeah you would probably be fine, nothing noticeable anyway.

For anyone looking into this later, they are interchangeable. No vibrations.
