Default Another Camshaft Question Thread

So I've been doing a lot of research the past weeks because I have a 93 Z28 in need of a head gasket change (I hope that's it) so of course I need to swap out the valve stem seals, rocker arms, arp 7/16 rocker studs, guide plates, springs, push rods, lifters, timing set, pacesetter ceramic coated long tubes connected to Summit Racing Universal 3" stainless X pipe and SLP Loud Mouth II's and meziere electric water pump. (I'll deal with the opti $2000 later with EFI connections LS PCM swap kit). So here is the list of head parts. ARP 134-7103 - ARP High Performance Series Rocker Arm Studs Cloyes Gear C-3228 - Cloyes Heavy-Duty Timing Sets Crane Cams 10308-1 - Crane Valve Spring and Retainer Kits Fel-Pro SS72861 - Fel-Pro Valve Stem Seals Chevrolet Performance 12371042 - Chevrolet Performance Hydraulic Roller Lifters Chevrolet Performance 14011051 - Chevrolet Performance Pushrod Guideplates Scorpion Racing Products SCP1042BL - Scorpion Race Series Rocker Arms Sealed Power 260-1650 - Sealed Power Gasket Sets And now for the camshaft. Comp says custom grind for the same price. I was wanting something between their XFI268 and XFI280. So I was thinking maybe a 222/228 .57*/.56* 112 Or 113 LSA I would like to shift near 6200 or lower. And have a mildly choppy idle. Then the questions are, will the springs I selected be enough or too much? Will the timing set I've selected suffice? Have I selected appropriate lifters? I will choose 5/16 chromoly hardened rods (do I need to measure for each rod?) And is this too much cam for stock intake and throttle body mated to K&N CAI? Throttle body will probably be upgraded during the build... I hope I've given enough information and thanks for any informative input.
And I should mention I've poured over https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...ion-guide.html

My personal opinion is if your going to do a custom cam from comp I would steer more towards the HUC lobe family than the XFI. The 13037 for intake looks good and the 13046 for exhaust. That would be 282/227 duration for intake .563 lift exhaust would be 288/233 .568 lift. They are a bit less aggressive than the xfi lobes. If you plan to buy springs, retainers and keepers personally I would look at the comp 26918-16 beehive springs with the matching retainers. Theres plenty of other great options for the camshaft and valvetrain. How many miles are on the engine? Are you planning to have any work done to the heads?

If you want to stay under 6200rpm then you are looking at too much duration still.
