Default pros and cons switching to 24x

Looking for pros and cons to switching to efi 24x on my obd2 car? Car is going to be a TT setup looking to make 650-700 rwhp. Looking for all feedback good or bad and problems had with it .

Con: You **** off the purists who claim you need an opti and anyone can tune an LT1 PCM for boost no problem.

Pro: You get COP, 80e control, live tuning, no optispark, whatever redline you want, a PCM anyone can tune, the list goes on... I would not give it a second thought, 24x is very much so justified for a boosted car.

Only cons of the 24x is cost, if you hate wiring, and finding someone who knows how to tune it properly (which is probably easier than finding someone to tune obd1 these days). Besides that its all upsides.

i'll be going 24x in preperation for a single turbo setup. for me it is about the tuning, no one near me will touch my car tuning wise, but there are plenty of guys tuning ls vehicles. right now i have a mailorder tune which is alright for now but once FI is added to the mix, a mailorder tune just wont cut it. i am dreading the cost though lol but it is worth it for sure

I got the Fast XFI setup. I love it. So many tuning capabilities.

The problem mainly is that very few people still tune LT1s. There are some hold outs left but they're far and few between. In Houston, I can think of none. So the Pro is you can actually get the car tuned as most tuners won't touch the LT1 stuff or lack the software or cables to do so as it's such a small market and generally not worth the head ache. Mine has been running a 24X set up, tuned in speed density for 5 years.

Moe isn't in Houston, but he does make trips here and tunes LT1's.

24x setup is worth it if you want to keep the car and run it hard for the rest of your life. Thats why I did it. Not to mention everything else thats been mentioned here. I may be going boosted next year. The only reason why I would is because of the 24x..
