Changing springs.

Changing springs. Currently run a cc306 cam with comp 918 springs. I am getting a some valve float above 6K rpms. The engine sat on a stand for a few years with the rockers tighten and im wondering if it killed my springs. Question is could it also be a need a stronger spring. So i could either just purchase a new set of 918s for $190 or should i go with a stronger spring. Thinking about the PRC .650, .660 or .675 set.
