Default Turbo or Supercharger?

Which one would be a better pick? Dependability, performance, longevity etc.

There is no answer to this.

A turbo is more user intensive on making sure it lives long, whereas a blower is a self contained bolt on essentially.

Blower kits are easy to find and install, turbo kits... are not.

Either way, the real question is how much you have to spend.

For me...If money weren't an issue, turbo. Better yet, turbos.

Superchargers tend to be generally easier to maintain and build. Turbo kits that are well engineered are tough to source and usually require more installer savvy. What are your goals and how much are you looking to spend?

Dependability depends on the quality of the parts used and how well thought out/put together the build is. Most blower setups come in kits and most turbo setups are custom. Neither are cheap if done right. Some feel Turbo's are more efficient.

I ran a supercharger for a few years then switched to Turbo, yes plumbing is a PITA but I would never go back to a supercharger, all being equal, I made more horsepower with less boost on the Turbo..

I'm at about 427 hp and would like to get to about 600. Cost limited to 10K. A guy in NC builds a twin turbo setup for our cars and even drives a streetable 1000 hp WS6. Starting next summer looking to get into a build just need to research more and device which will be better for my use.
