Default 94 lt1 vs 96 lt1

I'm looking to get a 96 lt1 short block and I want to use it in my 94, can it work with minimal effort and what would I need knowing that I have my complete 94 lt1 engine.

I think all you need is a 95-97 opti and 95-97 opti harness.. And you might need to swap your 94 knock sensor over to the 96 block..

Also if it's an early 94 the oil pressure sensor is above the filter where on later 94s and on had the sensor behind the intake manifold.

95 is different from 96-97, it is vented but has a different harness because it is still OBD one 96-97 is OBDtwo. All three are pin drive so they should work with the right control cable. Confused enough yet?

I'm in the process of re-building a 95 as we speak. I finally had to go to the parts store catalog and print off the correct opti page and take it to the store so the idiot behind the counter could order the right one and they STILL sent the wrong one TWICE!! Try getting them to order the right timing gear and chain!!
