Unhappy opti problem "i know your tired of these questions"

I put a new GM opti and Hypertech coil on my 95 bird.It ran fine untill reaching operating temp. Then if you slowly rev it to around 3000 or above it felt like it lost all fire. When the rpms come back down it backfires out the exhaust real bad.I replaced the coil with another Hypertech but still same problem. So I put my stock coil back on and it ran fine no problems for a few months. But now that the weather has heated up it started doing the same thing again. If you run it hard through the rpms it is fine.Only craps out if you rev it slow or if you decelarate with a lower gear. Now it has no fire and wont crank after a bad stall and backfire.Could the new opti cause this problem without throwing any codes?Any help is greatly appreciated. LORD PLEASE MAKE A BETTER OPTI FOR LT1 LOVERS,PLEASE.....

Might be the ICM, I know they are pretty sensitive to heat, Just my guess.

If you started having it after replacing the new opti, then you have a bad opti again. Order one from Summit and replace it. If it has stopped running on you, use this troubleshooting guide to diagnose the bad opti. The part about checking the fuel injector connector worked for me.
