Car running like ABSOLUTE CRAP
I just got my car out for the first time after a nice wash, and it runs like crap. Bogging, backfireing, spitting, sputtering. So I go to autozone to have my SES light re read ( always on because of !air headers ) and it now has a EGR or something code, what could it be? Could my opti be going out? The lucas oil fuel injector cleaner? What could have done it?

Yes, simple greend and pressurewashed the engine bay. I stayed COMPLETELY away from teh opti, along with the whole front of the engine. 02's are deffinatly a possiblity... EGR code has me stumped.

So did I hurt anything by getting it wet? Why didn't it do this a week or so ago during the heaviest rain I've ever seen, 6 inch's of water at some places, water everywere. Opti HAD to of gotten wet then as well.

Well powerwashing it hits a little harder then some splashes of rain.
Come on sgt. spuds. I think you know the answer to this one. You got water in somewhere and the engine didn't like it. It's not supposed to like water.
Maybe jsut don't do it again unless you want it happening again!!!

But I didn't even spray the front of the motor. I did the immer fenders, adm tje bottom of the hood. I can't see how I got any more water of the opti than driving in a heavy rain. So is this going to effect the life of my opti?

Sgt. Spuds, please refrain from the use of bad language. I edited a couple of your posts.
If your opti is working fine now, the life of it will most likely not be affected by getting it wet (dry now). Also, it may be a coil or ignition control module going out. Both are very cheap to replace (used). Also, could be O2 related as mentioned already.
Thanks, Jason
