Default whats wrong? do i need high torque starter?

hi All,
well I got my radiator rod&cleaned, and I put in my 160 stat plus reprogram my fans to go on at 180
it runs good and no problem but once you stop it it hard to start it cranks real slow and stops,it only dose that after you drove alittle and get it warmed up.
once it cools down it start easy.
what could be the problem.
my compression is 11.3-1
thanks for any help.

this is the starter that i have and it will crank up to an 18:1 compression ratio... i love it and its still a stock motor...

i would replace the starter and battery cable as well... but it sounds like your starter is getting alot of heat soak and its killing slowing the start... i had that problem with mine and then i got this one and love it...

yea, I would recommend getting a high torque starter, after it gets warm its not making enough torque to turn that 11.3:1 compression, its not necessarily going bad, its just not strong enough for too much over stock compression
