Exclamation Blinking SES Light

Ok, so i was on my way home from work today, getting off of the freeway and my car starts vibrating, so i pull off into a parking lot, thinking i have a flat, and the tires are fine. When i get back in the car the SES light is on, so i continue to drive home, and it starts blinking?!?!? Does this mean that the **** has hit the fan or what? It's going to the shp tomorrow morning, i was just wondering what to expect. Any ideas?

a blinking SES light means your emissions control units (O2 sensors, cats, EGR valves, etc.) are endangered of being damaged, which in turn, can damage your engine.

it's a missfire usually. My '00 Camaro did the same thing and i changed plugs and wires and it went away. If it stays on it's an emission thing. If it goes on then off and flashes it tends to be miss. Hope that helps~Cole~

hey just an update, it was a major misfire in cyl 4. I was about a mile or so away from a shop so i brought it there, the plugs and wires were all fine, so they are goin to put a MSD cap and rotor, as well as an MSD coil in it. hopefully this will help. Thanks for the input guys.

Blinks are always misfires, other wise for any thing else they just stay lit up.
