lt1 longtube header question
Rookie Question:
With a stock lt1, do you need emmission tubes? How will the car run without the emmision tubes and only the 02 sensors? I'm thinking about installing long tube headers to enable easier sparkplug installation....
Thanks.

you do not need them but you will need to either make or buy egr block off plates. You will also need a tune to diable the emmisions codes. doing this will also make your car technically illegal in most states so consider this if you have state inspections.

That's what I did. After installing "offroad use only" pacesetters with no emissions bungs I sent my PCM to Ion at MadZ so he could put a tune + pull all my emission codes.
Does TN have e-checks? If so you might have to know somebody that knows somebody to get past them.
