Stall according to H/C
Hello, before I start, remeber I need to retain as many street as possible here.... its an othersie stock short block except the F/M 355 kit, with the street/strip heads&cam package from A.I., ported intake, 30# Injectors, LTs, TD's, 3.73. I need to know what stall is reccomened for this cam and the rest of the setup.. I was thinking 2500-2800 even though a 3000-3500 is probably best suited..I would like to keep it tame as far as a converter goes.. My main reason for posting is that I am not yet sure of the cam specs for that kit, so if someone has it, or would happen to know, it would help..thanks in advance
sorry I tired searching first, but thanks again

Let AI help you with the cam, whomever you work with on the heads has a definete interest in seeing your car make power and will point you the right way. Even though I went with AI and am VERY happy with their work when someone asks what to do about a cam I usually point them back towards whomever did the heads, in this case it was AI so talk to them. Even if you just decide on a cast Comp their price on those is competitive.
On the stall do not go below 2800 in a 9.5" converter from a GOOD brand my top two recommendations would be Edge and Yank in that order. I had a 2800 Edge in a daily driver stock gears Caprice and it was fine for the wife to drive, currently with the AI heads and cam I have a 3400 ProEdge in it with 3.73s and it drives just as well as the 2800 did.

Yeah Ron should be able to give you a better idea. I've got the same package as you and my stall is a Yank SS3200. I love this converter. Make sure you go with a good brand converter. But he will most likely tell you anywhere from a 2800 to a 32/3400. You'll like the 3200.
