SA or NSA RR's? Help
Im about to start ordering my parts for my camswap, Im going with the cc305 or cc503 with 1.6rr and unsure weather to go SA or NSA I know NSA needs guied plates but Im unclear how that system works If somebody could clear htis up for me that would be great.
What would you go for SA or NSA?
I Planned on going with the comp 918 valve springs until I found out they wouldnt work with SA rockers, what would be a good valve spring set for SA part numbers would be great.
Thanks alot guys just trying to get everything figured out before i order all this stuff so I buy the right parts once. Thanks in advance.

NSA with guide plates is the way to go. Unless you dont run hardend push rods then go SA
I would say the pros of NSA rocker are noise. They are quiter than SA's. I also would think they have a higher rev potentail. the draw back's if you call it that are for NSA rockers you have to get g/plates and hardened push rods, and depending on your setup maybe longer pushrods. The test pattern once you install will let you know. The pros of SA is the fact you can just drop them in. No mods to the valve covers, nothing. Set your lash and go to town. Also HP numbers putting them on a stock bottom motor you are going to see the same #'s with less work.

Go NSA. I have seen nothing but problems with the SA rocker arms. Plus, the best spring to go with is the 918 beehive spring with the +.050 locks. With this spring setup I dont think you can run SA rockers. Someone may prove me wrong, but I just installed these springs, and it looks like there would be no clearance around the tip area.
