Default need help

Why cant i get the valve cover gasket to stay in place when installing the valve cover anyone got some quick tips for me.

Is it the stock rubber one? What is it doing, I guess if you leave it out for a while, it expands.

i really dont know its blue, well it fits in the valve cover groove but i cant get it to stay there when i but the valve cover on.

you may want to add a tad of silicone on the cover to keep the gasket from falling out. Maybe go about every couple of inches and it should hold it in place.
