Backfire with quick throttle burst?
I've had this since I bought the car. Only happens when moving in gear, never in nuetral or park.
Every once in awhile, I get a backfire when I give a quick part throttle burst or two. I don't think it's ever happened when I went WOT.
Could it have something to do with the burst knock retard programmed into the CPU?

Is that a backfire from the exhaust or from up front from the intake? Mine backfires from the air intake sometimes when I give it quick part throttle. I have'nt figured out why yet and there is no hole in the elbow.

check your O2's if your cars lean on a bank and you blip the throttle my tuner told me it will do that because the computer cant add fuel fast enough or some stupid **** like that but i'd trust the guy he tunes thousands of these cars every year
Also checked timing ever although it should run like crap all the time check your opti connector (clean it)
whenever you come off throttle on these cars your really not suppose to pull your foot off all the way (i still do) because the TB closes and doesnt let enough air in for a sec and the car will pop sometimes there
