Default MAP sensor voltage low (vacuum high)

Well search is down again. The guy that painted my new hood commented that the car wasn't running too hot so I took my laptop to his shop and got DTC 34, vacuum too high. At the time, I couldn't place the problem as it only read "MAP low." It was raining anyway so I left. I looked the code up so now I am scratching my head, "How can vacuum be too high?" Anyone have any experience? I'm taking a spare sensor tomorrow and checking over my vacuum lines.

BTW, my trans is vacuum modulated and T'ed off the brake booster. This wouldn't matter would it?

C'mon someone knows more about this. I replaced the sensor with a spare I had and it smoothed out A LOT. However, I still have code 34 but I might just have to reset the PCM. Anyone??

Why is it that my questions are the ones no one can answer or no one wants to answer?

Could DTC 34 be part of the reason why my vacuum modulated transmission will not shift into OD?

I have not been able to drive the car for various reasons but when I was checking for the code after replacing the MAP sensor, MAP was showing 10 kpa at idle and reving it to various rpms without it changing. Once I figure out how to get into OD, I may be able to do some driving.
