I was having some drivability issues that were recently cured with some new AC Delco O2 sensors. It has allways been my understanding that the O2s were not used under WOT conditions, but the car seems to pull a lot harder and cleaner in the upper rpms now.

Is my butt-o-meter miscalibrated, or do the O2s effect WOT performance?

In some cases it can because if the o2s are off it will calculate a bad value upon entering PE mode. They aren't used during wot in the sense that the fuel correction factor is locked and not continually changing like it does when cruising but if they were dumping extra fuel upon entering wot it will lock that value incorrectly and you can get reduced performance.
