Default Where is the Turn Signal Flasher

I have a 97 Z28 Camaro, the Hanyes book says its under the steering column but its not there. Where in the heck is it?

Its under the driver side dash. There's two relays down there and its the higher one of the two(one is right above the other). I had trouble finding it too, then I just used a flashlight to see what looked like the flasher I just bought and checked the plugs for a match. If it's stock, it's a gray canister looking flasher.

If not there check clipped on to the right side towards the stereo. I missed mine the first time I looked.

There's a picture of it on shbox.com. It sits atop a brace and is tucked just out of plain sight. I looked for several minutes on my own. I couldn't find it until I saw the picture of it with an arrow and label.
