Default Tripometer

My tripometer no longer works correctly. It has not been chaning over to 100 miles and one day last week it finally made it past the 100 mark. Well I thought something might have been knocked back into place. Then on my way to St. Louis(opposite side of Missouri) it stopped at 49.9 miles, I reset the tripometer and now it has trouble turning over to 10 miles. I was wondering if I could just buy a used cluster and replace my tripometer with that of the used cluster. I'm sure that is legal and does anyone else have this problem?

You can try to fix it, I am assuming you have a 93-96 LT1, the issue is its never right. My bud's 93 had the same issue, we took it apart and it worked for another 1000, i think when its fucked, its indeed fucked.

That's good to know, I just use it to calculate MPG so it's not really a big deal. I was going to write a simple computer program to tell me what gas stations get the most MPG anyway.
