misfiring and stuttering

misfiring and stuttering I just bought this car ttwo weeks ago.I have a 94 Z28,LT1 auto.It has headers and oxy sensors are hooked up,MSD coil,K&N air cleaner air flow,shift kit.I can rev the car up to 4 thou. rpm's and the engine starts misfiring.When driving and I jump on it,it will stutter,shudder and I have to let up on the accel. for it to stop.It doesn't do this all the time,like this morning,I was going about 80 mph,and cruising,this afternoon,it started misfiring,and one time it backed fired.I would appreciate any help from any of you.

I think everyone automatically assumes it's the opti. Any trouble codes? What are the mods? Miles, transmission, so forth.
