Ai 190cc Heads/HR Cam Results - 96mph 1/8th Mile
I made it to the track last Friday and got some new NA results. I wanted to share with others on the board my results from an Ai Heads/Cam setup. The weather was pretty good around -400 DA, but the track was only marginal. I spun two passes to 1.8 60ft times. Next pass was clean and I went:
RT - 0.612
60ft - 1.641
1/8 - 7.311
MPH - 96.15
I was stoked by the MPH so I went out to back up the time and hooked better but short shifted 1-2 and banged the limiter on 2-3 with the result of:
RT - 0.683
60ft - 1.593
1/8 - 7.248
MPH - 94.74
I think if I hadn't blown the shifting the car would have easily gone 7.1x at the MPH from the run before it. All in all I am extremely pleased with the new bests. I never thought my nitrous setup would put down numbers like it did.
Setup is 34-3500lbs race weight with parts removed and parts added. Forged 355, 3500 nitrous stall, th400 and a 9inch with 28inch ET Drags. Cam is a nitrous grind from Phil @ Ai and is smaller than an LE3 with way more LSA. The car last dynoed 341rwhp in virtually the same setup. The motor is unchanged from 3 years ago when I used to daily drive it. I hope to be back out in two weeks to spray the car and try out a couple of small changes to get a little lower ET.
